California Democrats appeal to Trump administration for additional transit funding ahead of 2028 Olympics

A group of congressional Democrats from California is asking the Trump administration to include $2 billion in the President’s 2027 proposed budget to improve public transit ahead for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, Spectrum News has learned.

The letter, addressed to Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, is led by Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove, D-Calif., and co-signed by 35 fellow California Democrats, including Senators Adam Schiff and Alex Padilla.
