As the situation in the Middle East grows more concerning, it is vital that channels of communication are open between the State Department and Americans in Israel and Gaza. The State Department has announced a worldwide caution for increased risk of terrorist attacks or violent actions against U.S. citizens. As a precautionary measure, U.S. citizens abroad should enroll their contact information in the State Department’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP): https://step.state.gov/step/.
