L.A. County Commission for Women Honors Leaders at ‘Women of the Year’ Gala

Among the evening’s most prominent honorees was Sydney Kamlager-Dove, who received the Commission President’s Award recognizing her public service and advocacy. 

Kamlager-Dove, who previously served as a trustee and president of the Los Angeles Community College District before becoming a state assemblymember, state senator and member of Congress, delivered remarks emphasizing unity and the power of women’s voices.
