Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager (CA-37) Announces Senior Staff Hires in Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles

Following the swearing-in of the 118th Congress, Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager announced the hiring of her Senior Management Team. The Congresswoman previously announced that her D.C. office will be led by Henry Dixon as Chief of Staff. Committed to uplifting voices often excluded groups, the Congresswoman’s team is a majority women.

“We’re building an incredible team of dedicated public servants with diverse backgrounds, expertise, and experiences.” Congresswoman Kamlager said. “I’m proud to have each one of them by my side as we work each day to fight for what our communities deserve.”

Gabrielle Howard, Legislative Director

Gabrielle N. Howard is excited to join the office of Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove as Legislative Director. Most recently, Gabrielle served as Senior Legislative Assistant for Congressman Troy A. Carter, Sr. (LA-02). Previously, she served as Legislative Assistant and Digital Director in Congressman Filemon Vela’s office after graduating with her Master’s in Public Policy from DePaul University. Gabrielle brings with her a drive to fight against inequality, injustice, and racism through policy and is looking forward to serving the people of California’s 37th Congressional District.

Madison Andrus, Communications Director

Madison Andrus will join the office of Congresswoman Kamlager as Communications Director. Previously she served as Press Secretary and Deputy Political Director on Kansas Governor Laura Kelly’s successful re-election campaign. After graduating from Columbia University, Madison worked for the political consulting firm, SKDK. With a focus on uplifting the voices of marginalized groups, Madison is excited to join Congresswoman-Elect Kamlager’s D.C. team.

Johanna Rodriguez, District Director

Johanna Rodriguez is joining the office of Congresswoman Kamlager as District Director. Johanna brings nearly a decade of experience in community and government relations to the office. Prior to joining the team, she served as the Area Coordinator, Sr. Area Rep, and Interim-Director in the Mayor's Office in the City of Los Angeles. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in Legal Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Johanna is a proud Angeleno and is excited to improve the quality of life of the people in the California’s 37th Congressional District.
