Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove (CA-37) Introduces Resolution Recognizing Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Founder’s Day

WASHINGTON, DC— Earlier this week, Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove introduced her first resolution to the U.S. House of Representatives. This resolution, cosponsored by 13 other members of Congress, recognizes January 16th as Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Founders Day. A historically black sorority founded in 1920 at Howard University, Zeta Phi Beta has uplifted and empowered black women across the country for 103 years.

“I, like so many women before me, am shaped by the incredible Zeta Phi Beta Sorority,” Congresswoman Kamlager said. “The Zetas are an organization built on the empowerment of black women, and a commitment to service, and progressive activism. Zetas have propelled our country forward and it is an honor to represent them in the U.S. House of Representatives.”
