WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove (CA-37) announced the opening of the 2023 Congressional Art Competition for students in California’s 37th District. The Congressional Art Competition allows high school students to submit their original pieces for a chance to have their artwork displayed in the Capitol for a year.
Once the winner is selected, the Congresswoman will invite the winner to her Washington, D.C. office. Congresswoman Kamlager-Dove will accept submissions from now through Monday, April 24, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. (PST).
“I am so excited to announce the start of the 37th District Congressional Art Competition,” said Congresswoman Kamlager-Dove. “Our district is home to exceptional talent in art and design, and I know that the submissions we receive will represent the immense creativity that exists in Los Angeles. Art is a powerful tool in our democracy, and I cannot wait to see the winner’s work admired in the United States Capitol for the year ahead.”

Artwork entered in the contest may be up to 28 inches by 28 inches, may be up to 4 inches in depth, and may not weigh more than 15 pounds.
