WASHINGTON, DC — Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove (CA-37) issued the following statement on the deadly Hamas terrorist attacks against Israel:

“I unequivocally condemn the Hamas terrorist attacks against innocent Israeli civilians. I affirm Israel’s right to self-defense, and the U.S. stands ready to support Israel's security. My heart goes out to all those who lost loved ones, especially children, to this senseless violence, and I stand in solidarity with the Jewish community in California's 37th District that is reeling from this horrific news.

"I will continue to closely monitor the situation with my Foreign Affairs Committee colleagues. Unfortunately, Congress cannot address Israel's critical needs without a functioning Speakership — the House must come together and work in a bipartisan manner to help promote safety and security for the people of Israel."
