“As we celebrate 200 years of the U.S.-Brazil relationship, I was glad to join my colleague Rep. Lance Gooden in relaunching the Congressional Brazil Caucus. Brazil is the largest country, democracy, and economy in Latin America and is increasingly a leader in the Global South. As a member of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on the Western Hemisphere and as someone who represents a vibrant Brazilian community in Los Angeles, I understand the importance of our partnership with Brazil in contributing to the prosperity of the whole region. Given Congress’ role as the enduring partner for our bilateral relationships, I am excited to co-chair this caucus with Rep. Gooden and to work in a bipartisan way to strengthen U.S.-Brazil ties,” said Congresswoman Kamlager-Dove.

“The Congressional Brazil Caucus is a testament to the history of strong friendship and collaboration between the United States and Brazil. As co-chair of this bipartisan initiative, I look forward to strengthening our commitment to deepen the ties that bind our nations,” said Congressman Gooden.
