Kamlager-Dove Statement on the Passing of Cecile Richards

WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove (CA-37) issued the following statement on the passing of former Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards:

 

“I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Cecile Richards, a champion for reproductive rights, women’s rights, and access to quality health care. Under her leadership, Planned Parenthood became the premiere resource for those seeking affordable, high quality reproductive care and sex education while weathering attacks from anti-abortion extremists and laying the groundwork to continue successfully carrying out its mission in the post-Dobbs era. Thanks to her work, millions of women and girls in America are better off.
