Kamlager-Dove Tours Southwest Mountain States Carpenters’ South Los Angeles Training Facility, Talks Infrastructure with Union Carpenters

LOS ANGELES, CA – Yesterday, Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove (CA-37) joined the Southwest Mountain States Regional Council of Carpenters (SWMSRCC) and Carpenters Union Local 323 for a tour of the South Los Angeles Training Center. Congresswoman Kamlager-Dove met with current apprentices, who were able to showcase their training and skills.

“I was glad to tour the South Los Angeles Training Center and meet with the Southwest Mountain States Regional Council of Carpenters (SWMSRCC) and Carpenters Union Local 323 to discuss the important investments from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, including $22 billion in investments across California with $502 million at home in CA-37,” said Congresswoman Kamlager-Dove. “Skilled workers are a key part of our economy’s productivity and prosperity. Their hands are responsible for bringing California’s infrastructure into the 21st century. The $550 billion in investments from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law has made it possible to repair our crumbling roads, bridges, and ports. I applaud the work of SWMSRCC and Local 323 in preparing the workers of tomorrow for the project ahead.”
