A Note to My Constituents
“While I am grateful to be returning to Congress, the day did not go as we had hoped. Many of us are still experiencing a range of emotions from shock, despair, anger, frustration, hopelessness, or even numbness. Take the time necessary to process those feelings without giving in to them.
Every day, my office receives calls asking for assistance from constituents living their lives and just needing some help from the federal government. I am going to continue to prioritize delivering for the constituents of the 37th congressional district.
Working families still need lower costs. Our unhoused populations still need shelter and social support. Local businesses still need help keeping their doors open. Communities still need relief from gun violence and climate change. Veterans still need access to healthcare. Seniors still need to be kept safe from scams. Americans still need to feel safe at home and abroad. Working people still need debt relief.
Those will be the calls I continue to take. Those will be the needs for which we continue to fight.
Regardless of who is in the Oval Office.”
