WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday, Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove (CA-37) and Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) re-introduced the Restoring Artistic Protection Act (RAP Act) to protect Americans from the wrongful use of their creative or artistic expression against them in criminal and civil proceedings.

WASHINGTON, DC  – Yesterday, Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove (CA-37)and Senator Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.) reintroduced the End Solitary Confinement Act, legislation that would end solitary confinement in federal prisons, jails, and detention centers, with limited exceptions. This bill would create minimum standards for incarceration, including by requiring that facilities give detainees access to out-of-cell interaction and recreation and by capping the length of solitary confinement at four hours.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressional Black Caucus Whip Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove (CA-37) led members of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC), including the entire executive board, in a letter calling for the resignation of Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard. This letter follows the release of documents that accused President Obama and his cabinet of “manufacturing and politicizing” evidence against President Trump related to Russia’s proven interference in the 2016 Election.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Reps. Sydney Kamlager-Dove (CA-37), Vicente Gonzalez (TX-34), Judy Chu (CA-28), and Veronica Escobar (TX-16), introduced the Visible Identification Standards for Immigration-Based Law Enforcement (VISIBLE) Act of 2025. This bill would require immigration enforcement officers to clearly display visible identification during public enforcement actions.
