LOS ANGELES – In response to the death of Keenan Anderson, Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager released the following statement:
“We are just days into 2023, and already the number of black people killed by police is staggering, heartbreaking, and unacceptable.
Today, Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager gave her first speech on the floor of the United States House of Representatives, rising against Republicans’ latest attack on women’s reproductive freedom. In her speech, Congresswoman Kamlager called out this next step by House Republicans to enact a nationwide abortion ban.
Following the swearing-in of the 118th Congress, Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager announced the hiring of her Senior Management Team. The Congresswoman previously announced that her D.C. office will be led by Henry Dixon as Chief of Staff. Committed to uplifting voices often excluded groups, the Congresswoman’s team is a majority women.
Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager (D-CA 37), has named Henry Dixon, a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of a bi-coastal law firm to be her Chief of Staff.
Today, Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager (CA-37) was officially sworn in to represent California’s 37th Congressional District in the 118th Congress. A lifelong advocate for justice, communities, and families, Congresswoman Kamlager swore her oath on a personal bible of Rosa Parks.
