Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove walked out of President Donald Trump’s joint address to the nation’s leaders on Tuesday, March 4, saying she had heard enough.
Kamlager-Dove, D-Los Angeles, who represents California’s 37th Congressional District, said she walked out “on behalf of the people” of her Los Angeles-area district.

Several House Democrats — including Reps. Maxwell Frost (D-Fla.), Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas), Maxine Dexter (D-Ore.), Andrea Salinas (D-Ore.), LaMonica McIver (D-N.J.) Sydney Kamlager-Dove (D-Calif.) — walked out of the speech several minutes later.
Some members, like Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT) and Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove (D-CA) just walked out on Trump, the latter saying “there’s only so much bullsh*t a person can take.”
Rep. Kamlager-Dove, D-Los Angeles, is bringing Sylvia Joyner, acting president of the American Federation of Government Local 1534, which represents workers employed by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), U.S. Department of States and the U.S.
Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove, D-Calif., posted on X that she walked out of the speech because she found the president's remarks "shameful."
"There’s only so much bulls--- a person can tolerate," she wrote.
California Democratic Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove was one of the Democrats who left. She wrote on X, formerly Twitter, that “there’s only so much (expletive) a person can tolerate.”
