Despite that level of public attention, Noem seemed surprised when California Democrat Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove bluntly asked her about the rumors during a Wednesday hearing of the House Judiciary Committee.
And, no, Kamlager-Dove didn’t mince words at all.
“So, Secretary Noem, at any time during your tenure, as director of Department of Homeland Security, have you had sexual relations with Corey Lewandowski?” she asked.
Noem on Wednesday refused to deny under oath that she had sex with Lewandowski when questioned by Democratic Representative Sydney Kamlager-Dove.
"At any time during your tenure as director of the Department of Homeland Security, have you had sexual relations with Corey Lewandowski?" Kamlager-Dove asked.
She stared forward as Kamlager-Dove read a series of headlines related to Noem and Lewandowski, which she said she wanted entered into the record; Jordan objected to each one.
Today’s hearing was heated - and at times salacious - as Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was grilled on whether she had an affair with one of her top aides.
"Yeah. Today's performance by Kristi Noem was appalling," said Kamlager-Dove, who added that Good and Pretti are hardly the only victims: "30 immigrants ... have been killed, you know, because this woman is making bad decisions that are killing Americans, that are killing our friends and neighbors."
