LOS ANGELES, CA — Today, Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove (CA-37) released the following statement condemning yesterday's violence in Pico-Robertson:

"Let’s be clear: blocking the entrance to a synagogue is antisemitism. Targeting a predominantly Jewish neighborhood is antisemitism. Calling for violence against the Jewish people is antisemitism.

"And none of it will be tolerated in Los Angeles.

The family-friendly program featured readings from the books A Flag for Juneteenth, Juneteenth for Maize, and They Built Me for Freedom and an art activity designed to inspire and uplift our community.

LOS ANGELES, CA — On Tuesday, ahead of Juneteenth, Congresswomen Sydney Kamlager-Dove (CA-37) and Rashida Tlaib (MI-12) introduced a resolution to honor, preserve, and ensure investment in former Freedmen’s Settlements—communities established by freed enslaved Americans following the abolition of slavery, which have historically not only been neglected, but terrorized.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove (CA-37) voted against the Fiscal Year 2025 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) following Republicans’ insertion of extreme amendments into the final bill. Such amendments would restrict access to reproductive services, jeopardize health care coverage for LGBTQI+ service members and families, and end diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs and initiatives.

LOS ANGELES, CA – On Saturday, Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove (CA-37) attended the South LA Mental Health Block Party, hosted at South LA Cafe, to present the South Los Angeles Community (SLAC) Foundation with an $850,000 check for the South LA Community Resilience Center project.
