WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove (CA-37) and Congresswoman Young Kim (CA-40) introduced the bipartisan Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Act. This legislation establishes a program to encourage the development of young leaders and entrepreneurs across the African continent through professional development, leadership training, exchanges with the U.S., and networking opportunities. This is companion legislation to the Senate bill introduced by Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) and Senator Mike Rounds (R-SD).
