Today, Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager gave her first speech on the floor of the United States House of Representatives, rising against Republicans’ latest attack on women’s reproductive freedom. In her speech, Congresswoman Kamlager called out this next step by House Republicans to enact a nationwide abortion ban.

The Congresswoman previously announced that her D.C. office will be led by Henry Dixon as Chief of Staff. Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager (D-CA 37), has named Henry Dixon, a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of a bi-coastal law firm to be her Chief of Staff.

“One of my main priorities is to assemble a team that can best serve the needs of California’s 37th Congressional District.” Congresswoman Kamlager said.  “With his political and private sector experience, Hank is the right person to serve as my Chief of Staff.”

Today, Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager (CA-37) was officially sworn in to represent California’s 37th Congressional District in the 118th Congress. A lifelong advocate for justice, communities, and families, Congresswoman Kamlager swore her oath on a personal bible of Rosa Parks. The pocket bible, which Parks carried with her after moving to Detroit in 1957, underscores the prominent role faith and justice will play as Congresswoman Kamlager continues serving the people of Los Angeles.
