WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Representatives Sydney Kamlager-Dove (CA-37) and Emanuel Cleaver (MO-05) introduced a bill to require the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to account for climate change risks, including natural disasters and extreme weather hazards, when managing toxic waste sites.
Democratic lawmakers, including Rep Yamin Ansari, Sen Ed Markey, Rep Sydney Kamlager-Dove, Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rep Ilhan Omar, and Rep Ro Khanna, have called for Trump's removal under the 25th Amendment, citing his Iran threats and what Ansari described as conduct that 'endangers all of our lives.'
"A lot of BIS’s dysfunction seems to come from administration leadership’s baseless distrust and marginalization of career staff, despite the fact that deep technical expertise is essential to successfully develop and implement effective export control regulations,” said Representative Sydney Kamlager-Dove, a California Democrat and member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, which has jurisdiction over US export control programs.
During an April 2 news conference, Mayor Karen Bass and U.S. Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove, D-Los Angeles, announced that dollars from a federal package, called Community Project Funding, signed into law in February will support housing projects, homeless programs and transportation initiatives.
U.S. Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove, who represents the 37th District where the hospital is located, says when the Trump administration cut $1 trillion in Medicaid last year the impacts were especially devastating for her district, which has the fourth largest Medicaid enrollment in the country.

"In 12 hours Trump went from threatening to wipe out 90 million Iranians to capitulating to all of Iran’s demands.
That willingness to commit unspeakable atrocities is not a “negotiating tactic,” it demonstrates Trump’s severe mental instability.
Rep. Teresa Leger Fernández (N.M.), the chair of the DWC, along with Reps. Hillary Scholten (D-Mich.), Emilia Sykes (D-Ohio), Sydney Kamlager-Dove (D-Calif.) and Deborah Ross (D-N.C.), signed the letter. Scholten and Sykes are the caucus’s vice chairs, while Kamlager-Dove and Ross co-chair its policy task force.
"I’m sick to my stomach. The fate of millions of innocent civilians now depends on the whims of a sick and demented man. This is pure evil. Republicans, if there were ever a time to stand up, it’s now. We must invoke the 25th Amendment before it’s too late," Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove (D-CA) wrote on X.
