Today, Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove (CA-37) joined Protect Our Care for a press conference on the record-breaking open enrollment numbers California and the country experienced this past open enrollment period alongside Chair of the Democratic Caucus, Congressman Pete Aguilar (CA-33), and Congresswoman Judy Chu (CA-28). Below is a transcript of her remarks as prepared, as well as her answer to a question from the press conference.

Today, End Citizens United/Let America Vote Action Fund announced that Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove (CA-37) received an “A” rating for her legislative work to protect democracy and fight for important government reforms. 

This week, Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove (CA-37) hosted a reception for the launch of the Congressional Brazil Caucus alongside Co-Chair Rep. Lance Gooden and Brazil’s Ambassador to the United States, Maria Viotti.:

Yesterday, I joined my Democratic colleagues in voting 'no' against House Republicans’ failed, bad-faith attempt to once again weaponize the needs of our allies to advance their partisan political agenda.

I am proud to support the partnership between American Airlines and West Los Angeles College, which will put underserved students on track to secure good-paying jobs. At a time when AMTs are in short supply, this program will train students from West Los Angeles College for this role and give them a competitive advantage before they enter the workforce.

Last week, Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove (CA-37) joined Democratic Women’s Caucus (DWC) White House Liaison Rep. Joyce Beatty (OH-03), Chair Lois Frankel (FL-22), and Vice Chairs Nikema Williams (GA-05) and Teresa Leger Fernández (NM-03) in urging the Biden-Harris Administration to protect Americans from the criminalization of their pregnancies and pregnancy outcomes in the wake of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization.
